Walberswick Blanket
Walberswick Blanket
This blanket takes its name form the Suffolk coastal village of Walberswick which is celebrated for its beautiful black wooden fishing huts. The pattern is a playful series of blocks and stepped forms in chalk, walnut and charred black with a pinstripe detail. Fine score-lines runs across the surface of the blanket creating a subtle ribbed texture.
For more about the story behind the blanket please see the journal post here. Walberswick is the second blanket in my East Anglian Quintet.
